Summer Staff
Living and working a summer at El Porvenir is a memory you will never forget, and it may change your life forever.
We hire around fifteen summer staff each year to help facilitate the summer camp season. Positions currently available include head cook, assistant cooks, activity staff, volunteer program counselors, and assistant maintenance.
We are accepting applications now! Pay starts at $300 / week plus room and board and is higher based on experience or position.
A summer working at camp is a rewarding adventure that we journey on together. We pray that wherever God places you, He stretches you out of your comfort zone and into a season of growth and fulfillment.
Volunteer for the CORE
The Core is our summer leadership program for ages 15-18. Students may apply for multiple blocks from 1-2 weeks each. Our purpose is to help students be more than a camper by volunteering to serve, learning to work together, and stepping up to be a leader. We are still accepting applications!
Primary responsibilities will be volunteering in the kitchen, cleaning/setup on departure and arrival days, and assisting the summer staff in their other duties. Along with service opportunities at camp, students on the Core will be given daily intentional and directed spiritual teaching. Emphasis will be made on personal time in God’s Word, prayer, and Biblical fellowship. Along with all of the fun involved in the Core program, after completing your session you’ll receive a 50% discount off your week of summer camp.
Make no mistake, we expect all members of the Core to work extremely hard. Philippians 2 reminds us how Jesus became a servant for our sake, and it was His joy to do so! That is our prayer for you…that you will come to camp and experience joy in the service that God lays before you, along with growth in your walk with Christ from Bible teaching and intentional community with others.
