Washington Avenue Christian Church was scheduled to host the women’s retreat at El Porvenir Christian Camp this summer. We are excited to announce that we have recorded the teaching for the retreat, and it is now available to you in a video format.
This is a five-session learning experience titled “The Heart of a Warrior.” Speaker Stacy Ferguson will guide you through recruitment, boot camp, and deployment through stories straight from scripture. You will learn how to step into the armor provided by God so that you can stand victoriously in your faith.
Each video is 20-30 minutes long, and there are optional pdf documents that include a few discussion questions for you to think about. You can watch the videos on your own, use them in ZOOM sessions, share them with friends, or gather in a small group according to your area’s social distancing guidelines.
The Annual Women’s Retreat Silent Auction Is Still a Go!
Although we could not hold activities this summer due to COVID19, camp is still incurring operating and maintenance expenses. Just for fun and to support the camp, women’s retreat leaders have come up with some silent auction items to help raise money for El Porvenir. When you submit the form at the bottom of the page, you are sharing this experience with the other ladies. Thank you for your support.
